Nashville Transportation Company Changes Their Name

Nashville, TN – Anchor announces the immediate change of the company name to Anchor Tours. No other changes to the company ownership or service are associated with this announcement. “Our company was founded with the Anchor Tours name and we wanted to return to a name which implies the personal attention we give to every charter,” states company president, John Stancil.  “Most people don’t know that the Trailways companies are individually owned and not part of a national company, so we found ourselves frequently explaining that we are in fact a family-owned and run company and provide very personalized service,” Jared Stancil, the company Vice President added. “It just made sense for us to return to our roots and the original name so many of our long-time customers know us by.” This name change signifies the separation of the company from the Trailways brand.

Anchor Tours, a family-owned company in operation over 20years, is dedicated to providing the safest group travel available in motorcoach transportation. These transportation specialists have three strategically chosen locations in the southeast to enable them to best serve their customers: Nashville, TN, Paducah, KY and Florence, AL. Anchor Tours is certified by the Department of Defense – a higher level of safety certification that only 10% of motorcoach carriers qualify for – which certifies Anchor Tours to carry military personnel.  The company operates 25-passenger mini buses, 55-passenger motorcoaches as well as an Executive Coach. In addition to working with the military, Anchor Tour specializes in serving student and church groups, meetings & conventions, collegiate groups, shuttle systems for special events, and executive/vip travel.
